Default Sticking TB After Porting Anyone Else?

Just finished up on port and polish on throttle body. It operates real smooth while engine is not running. After I start it, at the very begining of the throttle travel, it feels like it sticks. Just a slight "stick". It kind of feels like the throttle blade is being held back by vacume. No where else in the travel of the throttle does it do this. Has this happened to anyone else? Can it be fixed? Thanks

Oh yea, I cleaned it real good. Like I said, it will only stick while the engine is running.

Loosen the screws on the shaft slightly (just enough
friction that the blade would stay put with no side
load and not be floppy). Open the blade full and let
it snap closed. Do this a couple of times and then
tighten it while at rest. This will let the blade find its
best seated position.

Then, make sure the stop-tang is resting on the idle
stop screw and not the blade wedging down to the
casting; you want it -barely- not touching the body
so that suction can't wedge it down tight, the stop
gives it a "free hand". But you don't want excess air
bleed or a jacked TPS reading.

You need to make sure the blade is in properly... Same thing happened to me....

Take your tb off your car and move the tb blade back and forth till it moves with out hitting the walls...

Sorry to bring up such old thread, but I just had mine ported and it's sticking in the same exact manner. When engine is not running it's smooth as it can be, but once I start it it sticks a bit right at the beginning of throttle range. I think it could be that the hole drilled in the epoxy is not large enough so the motor is holding the TB plate under rather large vaccum. Or it could be the adjustment screw is messed like somebody mentioned. I'll take a look at that screw and see if it fixes it. If not, though, anybody thinks larger hole needs to be drilled?

Had the same thing happen to me. I needed to raise the idle screw a bit. I inverted the screw (torx t-15) so I could make adjustments with the car running.

Don't be drilling the hole bigger. Do like said above and loosen the screws and snap it shut a few times. If that doesn't work adjust the scres just a little. Mine also done this after porting so the first thing I done was adjust the screw down even more to make it worse then loosened the screws and snapped it open and shut several times. After the blade was centered I tightened the screws and then adjusted the position set screw back up where it is supposed to be. I figured if it didn't stick when the blade was adjusted way down then it won't at all with it set to the proper specs.
