Default o2 sims or have the computer reprogrammed?

I've been trying to find this out. Should i just buy some o2 sim's or send my computer to MadZ28 and have him reprogram it? And if i should get o2 sims, what kind should i get? Thanks for the help ahead of time.

just have the codes deleted. 02 simms can screw up on you sometimes or malfunction. Plus the cost is around the same if not cheaper to have the codes deleted.

Sorry if I'm turning into a thread jacker..... but, if you put sims on don't you have to have the rears deleted from the computer? I thought the sims send the "ready" code to the computer and the tuning is only to keep the SES light off. Sorry if I'm wrong... I just did the rear sims with the delete and now my car runs like crap.

My understanding was you can either buy the sims to fool the computer or send the computer out to be reprogrammed and have the codes deleted. Correct me if im wrong.

Rear O2's are there for emissions only. They let you know if the CATS are working properly. They don't manage your fuel mixture, that is for your front O2's. Tune them out of the computer or 02 sim your rears only. Make sure you didn't make any modifications to your front 02's, that WILL screw up your fuel mixture and make the car run "like crap."

Another question im coming up with is should have have the car "tuned" after the headers? If i do this i will do the $220 reprogram from MadZ28. Or should i just have the codes disabled and get teh $150 retune? Thanks again for the help.

Get the car re-tuned after headers. The headers will relocate your front O2s, and can have a drastic impact on your fuel mixture. If you have the money now, do the headers, tune, and tune-out the 02's on the computer end instead of 02 sims which will cost the same, but have the potential of going bad.
