SLP 85MM MAFS question
I am looking into getting the SLP MAF sensor to open the intake tract up some more, and then get a TSP 85MM lid to accomodate the MAFS. These will be going on with my Fast90/90 setup.
I have heard mixed reports of tuning issues and what not. Also, is my stock MAFS able to monitor/handle my engine output? I easily have over 600HP at the crank.
Should I get the SLP MAF or not?

Some have problems with this maf because of a different tune other than stock and some don't. Summit sells the 85mm maf. If it does not work correctly with your aftermarket tune you may be able to return it.

If you can tune, then get a Z06 MAF or descreen a truck
MAF, and pick up a pigtail or adaptor harness. At least then
you will know what the calibration should be.
Look at your MAF output frequency or airflow reading. If
you are seeing more than 450g/sec for airflow then you
want to stay away from the 85mm MAFs, they all top out
sooner than the stock 75mm (459g/sec vs 511g/sec, at
the 12kHz PCM limit).
