Question !air, !egr, and tb bypass?

i've been looking into !air, !egr, and doing the tb bypass to my camaro. i'm just wondering what benefits there are to doing this and if there are any bad symtoms from performing these mods. someone who's done these let me know how it worked for them...thanks

The first two are done to get the extra hoses and crap out of the engine bay and clean it up a bit. If you get rid of them, make sure you get the codes turned off so you don't get the SES light. I've yet to see anyone prove any gains through the TB bypass (some speculate 1hp as a very liberal/high guess) but go for it if you want to.

pretty much just unbolt the air and egr hoses from the exhaust manifolds and cap them off. with the tb bypass you just pull to hoses off the tb and hook them up to each other.

i never really noticed any direct gains, but every little bit helps, right?
http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm - has a write up on the TB
EGR and AIR are pretty self explainitory, buy the block off plates and manifold plug, i picked mine up from Speed Inc.

just unhook the EGR/AIR from the exhaust and use the block offs there, pull the EGR from the intake and use the plug there, and then just disconnect and unbolt the remaining components

is it safe to remove the TB Coolant thing if you drive the car in the winter? I thought it was to keep the throttle body from freezing up ?

I have ran my car at 2* and had no issues with TB freeze up. I have had the TB bypassed for 7 years.

Someone told me you could pull the fuse for the AIR pump under on the underhood fuse block? Is this true?

i notice that the egr sits right in the middle of the tb. is this restricting airflow at all? also, when the egr recycles the exhaust into the intake, what kind of effect is that having in the combustion camber. seems like burning just clean air would be better.

gonna try and answer my own question here since i will be making these at work tomorrow....
im guessin quarter inch (.25") would be the max
1/8" would be the bare min.

so im assuming some 3/16' (.1875") stock would be just rite
