I doubt the polish that would be a major PITA but they do have HVMC.

Yes they come polished now. I believe they started doing that when they added the hvmc for the same price as their old ones.

Well after looking at that link Jimmard posted, I'm definately going with QTPs over kooks or pacestters now without a doubt. I don't see how you can beat getting them polished with the HVMC for only $724.99!

They are excellent headers but be prepared to wait unless production picks up.

Yeah I see how a bunch of you guys are still waiting, but a friend of mine ordered his last month and got them in about 2 weeks. So who knows. But they seem to be well worth the wait.

How is the ground clearance of the QTPs? I need to get rid of my SLPs and I need a header that gets good clearance. My car is lowered about 1" so you can imagine what kind of issues I am having with the SLPs. How does the QTP compare to the Pacesetter in regards to clearance? The price is hard to pass on the Pacesetters!! I am going H/C soon so I know that I should get the best header available, which seems to be the QTPs, but I need the clearance.

TIA

Clearence is as good as kooks on the headers but Ive been reading that the Y pipe can hand low on the passengers or drivers side, I forget which, this may be false though, just something you may want to research more. Also there is a sticky in the forum that has exhaust reviews, you may want to read the ones about QTP. Just scroll through them and look for guys with QTP headers.

I have heard of this problem also but im pretty sure its only a major problem with the double cutout y pipe from QTP. I have the catted y pipe from QTP but since i still dont have the headers i havent installed it yet so im not sure about clearance with that pipe but i know the cutout Y has problems. It also really matters about how low your car is lowered.

I don't see why people that are lowered don't just go get a custom Y-pipe made. That's what I'll end up doing because I am lowered.

The y pipe is the problem. The headers tuck up amazingly well, but I have had nothing but problems w/ the y pipe. Getting it to first tuck on the drivers side is a PITA. Especially if you dont own a lift or have access to one.

I have also had a fitment problem with it in general with a few of the pipes (it wont slide all the way onto the header. Then one of the pipes cracked.) But their response to my call was take it to an exhaust shop.

But for the price w/ new HVMC, no reason not to get it.

I am not concerned about the Y-pipe of the QTPs, just the headers themselves (ground clearance). My SLPs are beat to hell from hanging too low. I want to find a good header that will improve the ground clearance. I will have custom duals put under the car when I swap headers.

Pretty much any headers are going to have WAY better clearance that the SLPs.

Well like I said before, I'm definately going with QTP Lts. My biggest concern is to get the best flow/performance possible without going with TDs. So it looks like my best bet is the QTP catted y pipe especially since I have the LM. I'm not going to be lowering my car, so should I be ok ground clearance wise?
