Default Updated with clip - Got my Magnaflow bullet *pics*

So I'm hopefully getting this welded in place of the Dynomax bullet in my Rumbler tomorrow. I'm hoping it will still be loud outside the car, but will cut the drone on the inside when I'm cruising down the highway. I'm also hoping it will hopefully cut down on the "putting" kind of noise regular bullets(at least mine) can give until they warm up.

Since it's a Rumbler right now, and not a Loudmouth.....Magnumbler?

Anyway, pics:

As long as it lowers the drone like other Magnamouth people claim, I'll be happy. Not enough people around to comment on this setup anyway, least we'll be able to add one more to the small handful of people on this board that have it.

I noticed that, hopefully it has different packing material. If it doesn't change anything, oh well I guess

It does quiet it down a bit, as does a standard dynomax bullet. As I said, I'm just looking for less drone. Another guy with an ory and lt's is running this setup and claims there's hardly any drone in his car. He had a long thread about it here recently. I'm all stock except the catback, so hopefully drone will be less after swapping to this.

Well I just inspected it under a bright light, and I can actually see stainless mesh packing material through the perforations in the interio, where my dynomax bullet basically just has fiberglass in it(i think they do). I'm interested to see what kind of difference it makes. Damnit, I wish I had a welder and a sawzall, I'd go do it right now.

This part does infact have stainless steel for packing.

The addition of this should reduce some of the drone you get under load from 2100-2700 when used with another primary muffler.

If I went to those and got rid of my MagnaFlow muffler would my car get much louder?

Would there be any worthwhile power gains from going to the bullets?

Borla xr1 in the ipipe sure did the trick for me. Sounds deeper than before and rasp is 95% gone.

Remember we're talking about sound waves and not exhaust flow. Although it may be a straight through pipe, it has perforations in the pipe and packing around the outside to absorb sound waves travelling at different wavelengths as they pass through the pipe.

It'd be louder, but the power gain I'd think would be minimal. The muffler in the Magnaflow catback is supposed to flow very well. To go to something like this or another bullet style muff you'd have to do something about the rest of your exhaust where your crossflow muffler is now. Since I have a TSP Rumbler, this will just swap out with the Dynomax bullet I already have.

It will soften up the sound a little, its still going to be loud but it will give it a better tone. I did the same thing to my car a while back but nothing beats the sound of True Duals

i just put a magnaflow muffler in my loudmouth and it did quiet it down a little bit especially at idle, it also took away almost all the rasp

So I got it welded on. First thing I notice is drone is a lot less at highway speeds and under load, but there is still a bit of it. Also, the whole sound of the exhaust is a lot smoother, sounds more refined. Don't get as much of the popping when I let off the gas as I did with the Dynomax bullet. Also, the "putting" sound is pretty much gone now.

Here's a link to the clip, it's short and the quality isn't all that great, but it gives you an idea at least:

I'll be on the lookout for your car man, shouldn't be hard to miss with true duals and loudmouth resonators
