Default Borla or True duals?

Right now my car has dynomax true duals.. The only thing is the guy that owned the car before me did a half *** job with the exhaust...He bought bullit mufflers and welded them on 2.5" piping and welded the piping onto the Y pipe.. I want to put an H pipe on but I cant without buying a whole new true dual set up... I ordered a borla before I really even made up my mind and I wanna get some opinions.. Buy a new true dual setup and put the H pipe on.. or buy a catless Y pipe and stick to the borla I ordered yesterday?

Nah, just stick with the Borla. They sound pretty good. If after that you don't like it, then you can get rid of it.

u will get more hp out of the true dual, and i think they sound better, get the x pipe instead of the h pipe though....and carry them out the back instead of droppin them by the axles....PLUS u could still get a good setup for less then the borla....

hmm.. well i dunno what the borlas sound like, but are they raspy like every other exhaust? I hate raspy... I love how the true duals sound and I think I might want to keep them.. The only thing is then Ill have to sell the borla... So I was just trying to escape w the easier route

I say go with duals. Maybe it's just me, but I hate the yawning cat noise of a Y pipe setup! Duals aren't expensive either, you can get a Jeg's H pipe for like 30 bucks, a couple mufflers, dump it, and you're good to go. Start to finish my duals didn't even cost $100, and it has no clearance issues of any kind

dauls are ok but i like the borla. it looks cleaner, better and has a throater sound to it. unless you run the dauls behind the bumper. i hate duals when they dump before the axle. looks half *** imo

Thanks for all the opinions guys..
Umm few more things
I gotta redo the exhaust if I want to stay true dual becuz the Y pipe w cats sucks.. Im doing an H pipe and just throwing away EVERYTHING... Im not even keeping the mufflers.. First of all I think imma keep my car streetable like under 500 hp so you think 2.5" piping is ok? Does anybody know where I can get a True dual w bullits for under $150?

2.5 is plenty for ya. I dont think you are gonna get a good setup for that cheap. If you do it be sure it is all manderel bent and not that cheap *** crushed bends. Take it to a local shop and get a quote. i found a shop that will do it for like 500 with stainless steel, not that crappy mild steel.

Duals, if you don't mind the noise. If you don't want a lot of noise, duals with real mufflers rather than a bullet style "muffler" They sound better than any Y-pipe/catback setup (IMO) and will make a slight bit more power.

Borla=$900 SS straight pipe, with a nice gain.
Duals=$300 for all parts and a Bigger gain.

i love the duals. but u gotta have them ****'s come out the back! highway driving isn't fun with dumps! 1700 rpm's for that matter are not fun with dumps! rattles the crap out of the car and your brain! i felt it in my teeth!
this is what i have done: slowhawk (i think that is your screen name) was my inspiration.
