Default Stupid O2s

anybody have the extension melt, well my dumb *** didnt check it bc i got exhaust work done and sure enough today heading to school bam SES light comes on. car is running perfectly fine its just once i got to school i knew before i even looked under the car it was going to be that damn 02 sensor extension, and sure enough melted the plug where it plugs into the 02 sensor itself. but i have a queston should i just buy a 12 inch for the passenger side or stick with the 24 inch??? b/c i have to tuck it up since its so long and i dont know if the 12 inch will be long enough for the passenger side. any help would be appreciated b/c im tired of dealin with these damn extensions, im also gonna wrap it with heat wrap to protect them from doing this again anyone else do that???

The 12" was kinda tight for me, but it seems like it will work. I thought someone made 18", I think that would be ideal. Use zipties ANYWHERE you can.

b/c the one that is burned is the shorter one and im guessing the longer ones are the front 02s so they can reach the plug in the engine bay. is this correct???

I looked around and couldn't find them. Maybe I was mistaken, sorry about that. Like I said, I got a 24" and 12" off ebay for $34 shipped from ws6store.

My driver's side melted where the extension and O2 sensor connect. It did it when I replaced them with Bosch from Advanced Auto. When I took off my A.I.R. system earlier this week I took the heat shield off the A.I.R. tube and slid it over the part that was touching the header.

use the bosch vette 02's, as they are better, and zip tie it away from the ehaust. heat wrap is a good idea.
