Aftermarket Oil Pressure Gauges.... ?
I'm wanting to get an aftermarket Oil Pressure Gauge (dont trust the stocker), but I have a few questions (sorry if this doesnt belong here, not sure where else it would go)
1. Electrical or Mechanical ? I think electrical is probably better ??
2. Do aftermarket gauges come with new sending units (more accurate?) or is that not an issue ?
3. Will I need to pull the intake to replace the sending unit if the answer to 2 is yes? ?
Thanks guys

I think people tap into the thing right above where the fuel filter screws onto. This might be for turbo oiling though..... lol
My oil pressure went nuts before I put the cam in with the new ported and shimmed pump. Used to sit at 25psi at warm idle, now it sits on 40psi+ no matter what. Slams over to 65-70psi at WOT, and this is with 118k miles on the car.
I did a writeup on shimming the pump recently.
Check it out (post #6).
