Default AC line hitting header on vette-Longtubes

I installed a set of longtubes on my vette and I noticed that the pass. side header is against the AC line. The line is such a tight fit that it will not move away from the header. Anybody else have this problem? What should I do?[IMG][/IMG]

Bend the line.

It's aluminum, so it should be able to tweak over pretty easy. Some heat wrap on the line would be a good thing too.

I tried to bend it but it felt like it was going to break.

Ewww.

I would try to bend it in such a way that it does not put much stress on the end fitting. Maby you could use some kinda pivot to bend it over so that it bends the tube and not the welded part on the end (I think it's welded). The aluminum tubing will give enough to move some. The liquid line leaving my condenser and going toward my firewall is all tweaked up. I was pissed the first time I removed it.

Try pulling on it toward the fender or something.

that is the problem, It's against the frame on one side and the header on the other. I thought about getting a AC line off a differant car. I need a line that will go straight out from the dryer kinda above the header along the heater hoses then down to the compressor. How is the line made that is on the camaro? I didn't know if one off of that would work or not.

Well I'm not for sure what they are. I got them off ebay. They fit very well except that the AC line is too close to the header.[IMG][/IMG]
