Other than number 8, the rest can be easily donte from the top. You have to find what is comfortable for you. After youve done it a couple of times it becomes a matter of a few minutes once you grab your ratchet and jack.

I did #8 from the top. Just remove the air tube if you have one, and the coil pack or entire rail if it's a newer car. It takes a little time but you can get in there with the right extensions.

I just did mine and my biggest issue was getting that back bolt out on the passenger side coil pack. I had less trouble getting number 8 out from the top than that one bolt. I also had trouble getting the number 8 wire back on the coil pack. Whole job took me and a buddy about 4 hours.

I dont know about if you have manifolds. I never had to change them with manifolds, I installed long tubes right after I got my car and I always get the #8 from underneath, I can change it in under 2 minutes. To each their own though.

So that many of you really are taking off your coil packs. I guess I dont like wasting a lot of time changing plugs, lol. I agree though about the back coil pack bracket bolt, toss it in the ole bolt bucket. After my second cam swap I decided to leave it out. First time I was skeered

I got all of them but number 8 from top. #8 I had to take the spark plug boot of from the top and then put the car on jackstands and get #8 from the bottom with a swivel. Worked well, Didnt take that long to do all the plugs.

The coil packs are a snap to remove once the back bolt is out. Mine is never going back in.

I was just saying, if you dont mind getting under a car and getting dirty and really getting into things you could be changing plugs in as little as 20 to 30 minutes. I understand that a lot of you dont like getting under a car and I still respect you for doing things your own way and doing some work for yourselves. I started out years ago very timid about really getting into it. I wish I had a picture of my doing my last cam swap. Had the front of the car on ramps and decided to go ahead and replace my header gaskets with fel-pro ones and also replace my header bolts with stage 8 locking header bolts. Anyhow, my radiator, water pump, and all was out of the way, I realized that my 6 foot 215 pound *** could fit inside the engine compartment with my feet on the ground to get around the motor easier as far as headers and plugs, looked like I was having sex with my motor, people laughing at me and all. Good times
This would only be funny to someone as obsessed with their car as I am.

The coil packs?
It's 4 10mm bolts holding it onto the valve cover, all of 5 minutes to take it off. Use a deep well 10mm socket, that's it, recommend 1/4" as the back ones are hard to get to under the cowl. If memory serves me right ( been 4 years since I took out the back back one and threw it out ) you might need to use a 10mm gear wrench to get at it.
