Corsa Yes or No?
I have a 99 SS and currently have one-chambered flowmaster. It is loud, but not loud enough for me? I was looking at the corsa cat-back systems. They look great and sound nice. Is there something louder. I want the absoulute loudest system I could get. Any recomendations?

A search would turn up a ton of stuff on the loudest exhaust, but I'll make it easy for you. If you want loud, go with the loud Mouth from SLP or some true duals. The Corsa will not be all that loud until you get on it and even then, it sounds like you're looking for more.

well i got borla, no plate installed, so it is pretty much a cutout right now. Not extrememly loud from inside the car, but from outside much louder. let someone else drive your car around the block while you listen, you will be impressed on how loud it is. If you want louder from a 1 chamber your only choice is gut the cats.

Whatever you get its gona have to have long tubes. Then from tehre its gona have to go into eaither dual cut outs, or loudmouth.

Re: Corsa Yes or No?
I have a corsa and love it cause it sounds great and looks good too. However, its not the loudest exhaust. Its pretty mellow at idle but it picks up alot when you get on it with long tubes I hear it gets even better. If you want something really loud I wouldn't go with corsa but it was exaclty what I was looking for.

I have the Corsa on my WS6.
It was a Bi+ch to install.
I've heard they are very easy can't tell you how many different components Corsa sent me because of ill fitting parts!!!
My muffler is bent in reality just to make the system fit and I had to bend the tail pipes.
GARBAGE!!!!!!!
It is quiet whe at idle.
Sounds different than any other exhaust out there, kinda higher pitched but yet it's nice in the sound department.
I must say the exhaust tips are hands down the nicest out there.
Would I buty another system for another car.
No, because of all the trouble and extra waiting and not to mention all the extra money..Bla,bla,bla...

Re: Corsa Yes or No?
I too was considering Corsa (mainly because of how awesome it looks), but once I rode in an SS the the Loudmouth, I was sold! It really gives the car a true muscle car sound & it's less than half the price of most other systems. Install was easy & I had it on in about an hour.
I was worried at first that it might be a bit too loud, but now & can't imagine having anything else.
I rarely ever turn the radio on anymore. Hands down the best mod I've done yet.
If I were to recommend any other system, it would probably be the GMMG, but whoa it's gets pricey when you add the good tips.

It's funny you should mention that because I set off my first alarm with it yesterday when I passed by a riced out Civic in a parking lot. What was really great was that I didn't even try!

Also, the LM like any other performance exhaust, will want to pop a little bit on first start up when it's cold if you rev it. Could that be what you heard? After a minute or two though, it warms up enough & is producing it's true sound.
All I can say is listen to any exhaust that you're seriously considering in person first before deciding on which one to buy.

Re: Corsa Yes or No?
No mention, but I'm kinda partial to my Magnaflow. Not quite as loud as the LM, but louder than the Corsa. Sounds GREAT at WOT.
