Just ordered TTS headers
After the TR 224/114lsa cam install, the stock manifolds were killing my gains, (did not gain anything in the 1/8th)so I saved and dropped the $1200+ on a set of TTS headers. Should get a nice gain. I hope. (I know tunning has a lot to do with it as well as the stock rev limiter)
Why TTS? I have done extensive searches and was not looking for the header that necessary produces the most hp, but has a great fit, finish, reputation, and a header my wife would agree with. I know guys , but after my 82 Z with shorties, the floor board would fry an egg!! And she was dead set on not letting me get LTH's for the SS . And I mean DEAD SET! But she was very impressed with the phase II Bergers and Tom Henery's (thanks guys) . So impressed, that if a TTS header is good enough for GMMG, its got to be good enough for us.
To make a long story short, she loves the new cam, wait till she drives it after the long tubes. WHAT AM I SAYING, I CAN"T WAIT TILL DRIVE IT WITH THE LT's.
Looking to get them in a week or so. Could be in time for Orlando!!

Re: Just ordered TTS headers
I plan on strapping it to the dyno during the f-bod gathering in Atlanta this memorial day. I dynoed last year on the same dyno and turned 327hp/342 tq with ported maf, y-pipe, slp air lid, holley filter and my cme oem exhaust. Now with the cam and lt's, I hope to get 370hp. Then tuning will begin.
Whats next? Nothing for a long time. $1200 is a big bite to swallow

Re: Just ordered TTS headers
How are these headers on a lowered car . . .I have a prokit and it's holding at 1.5" for now. I am looking at these vs. Flp's and MorePerformance LT's. I need to run cats and don't wanna patch it together.
Any feed back would be great.
Thank You

Re: Just ordered TTS headers
From what I understand, the TTS headers is as complete as a system can get. I read the thicker flanges make this system a step above its competition.
I feel if they are good enough for gmmg to put on their phase II 435 hp cars, then they must be a good product.

Re: Just ordered TTS headers
just curious, but what size are the primaries on your TTS LTs?
i happen to have them on my C5, and love them. Was just curious if they were any different for the f-bodys as opposed to the y-bodys...
Most C5 guys dont favor them as much because the primaries are not as big as the majority of the headers that are out there. The thing is, i feel they are tuned perfectly for out engines, especially for stock-moderately modified LSxs, giving amazing mid range power (where the car is driven most of the time), especially torque, because of the sizing for the primaries.
I too did a lot of research and chose these headers. Most ppl though, only go for the PEAK hp gain potential...
my vette is extremely low, and have no problem with the headers. They tuck in nicely.
the fit, finish, coated and overall quality is amazing on these headers. i usually hear quality issues with other headers, but never heard one bad thing about the TTS. real good bang for the buck IMO.

Re: Just ordered TTS headers
From what I have seen of TTS headers on local cars, they are certainly one of the (if not the) top LS1 LT. I have Bassani mids which are just as perfect in all ways as TTS except that they are a midlenght. BUT, if I ever move to an LT I will most certainly go with TTS. It's the only LT that has ever impressed me in all catigories for an LS1.

Re: Just ordered TTS headers
The TTS headers are great. The y-pipe is less that desireable. I had to cut mine up a little to get it to fit properly. The passenger side goes in easy, but the drivers side is a real pain in the ***. The primaries are 1 3/4" into a 3" collector. Really nice fit and finish. They would be fine on a lowered car. I would recommend getting the y-pipe welded to avoid any floor board banging. There is no difference in heat between the stock manifold and these.
