Very cool. I've got this mod on my ever-growing list of things to do... that is if Madman's "BIG GULP" never comes to fruition.

Thanks. I like it alot, got a pretty good gain in mph from it as well. Before the converter and ssra, had 106 traps tops, after converter and ssra, hit 111.7 same track at the same time of year. Very easy to install as well, just watch out for those concrete stops in some parking lots.

When you've got a primarily track car its not as big of an issue.

No but that's a long way for water to travel, you'll have to go through a pretty big puddle for water to even get to the filter.

it wont get into the filter... unless your some how you submerge the whole front end of your car.

there is an opening where there is a support for the hood latch... if the water were to cover your front inlet, it would just suck air from that slat right there

ill take a picture and show you here in a bit

Of course, but I see a lot of people with daily drivers and more or less street cars wanting to do stuff like that. Kinda scary. Your safety isn't worth a few HP.

However that is a cool setup posted in that link.

I ordered the SSRA2 from ss1le02, but haven't installed it yet. It's similar to the SSRA, but it doesn't have the scoop. So, it's more like a plastic version of the FTRA. And it's good that it's plastic so it won't heat soak.

I just realized that I never received the 4 screws that were listed in the instruction booklet. Does anybody know the size and type of screws that I have to buy? Thanks in advance for the info.

I bought the SSRA2 in September 2005 for $129 and $12 shipping direct from ss1le02.
