Best Catback
So i got my Pacesetter LTs and my ORY getting here soon, the question is...what catback to get.
I have an electric cutout but i kinda wanted to have 2 different sounds for whatever mood i'm in if that makes any sense. I really dont like raspy exhausts so kinda wwant to stay away from that. however, i do want it to be LOUD. I realize that the cutout will have sum rasp but o well. also, i want a really good flowing catback.
So what u guys think? what sounds the best? Flows the best?
thanks

I would check out the hooker cat-back. It sounds amazing with LT's and ORY and has zero rasp. It seems the "louder" cat-backs like borla, gmmg, and loudmouth, are more raspy with an ORY. I have also heard magnaflow in person and at WOT that thing sounds mean with LT's, but fairly quiet around town. Search around, there are many reviews of these two mufflers. Hooker would be my choice.
If you know anyone around you who has longtubes on their LS1, listen to theirs and make your decision from there. The best thing you can do when choosing a cat-back is to hear it in person. Use ls1sounds.com to just get a feel how an exhaust setup sounds, then try and find someone near you with a similar setup. If you have to drive an hour, who cares, it will aid in your decision and prevent you from being dissapointed with your choice.
For me I am keeping stock manifolds and cats and going with GMMG

i no...i have that already with the cutout. i'm liking how hooker sounds and their price a LOT. how do hookers flow? or is the difference between that and open very minimal?

ive asked around also.. on ls1 sounds, the hooker does sound the best. has a real deep rumble. but i hear its quiet. but i plan on doing heads/cam and i hear it gets pretty loud. gmmg is nice too. but i heard one on a firehawk on base and it was too quiet. i even told the owner to get on it hard. was sorta disappointed. i do like the loudmouth. all out nasty loud. lots of people say its not refined. well, our exhaust isnt gonna sound as good as stangs do, so i might as well have mines loud and beasty... but yeah if you go longtubes, with off road y go hooker, with cats i would have to say loudmouth.

Honestly there is no "best" catback. But if you want loud then get a LOUDMOUTH. I would go with something quieter because you already have the cutout which will make your car VERY loud with LT's and ORY. A Magnaflow or Hooker will solve that problem.

i would suggest a catback on the quiet side like hooker or dual/dual if you need stainless because you already have a cutout but if you want loud i would go loudmouth......and put cats on.

I vote gmmg, kind of biased since I own one. I have kook long tubes with a magnaflo catted y-pipe. It has a deep tone with no rasp and at wot it is very loud. Definatly needs cats though.
