2002 Camaros did not have teh EGR setup. I think what you are talking about are the AIR lines that run from the air pump to the exhaust manifold. If this is correct, you can take the AIR pump and all of its accessories out, and put block off plates on the exhaust manifold. This will cause the SES light to come on if you do not have the code deleted.

The pump itself it electric. You'll loose about 5-6lbs of the front of the car and clean out alot of garbage that you don't need. Performance...... Not that I can see. I did it when I got my headers, looks good with it not beeing there. SES light yeah, but you can deleat that. There's No drop in vacuum pressure anywhere after you remove it. I would say do it and don't look back.

lol that's not the AIR or EGR. the image forming in my head tells me that's your brake booster pump. if i'm right, you run seafoam through that hose when you wanna clean your top end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT TAKE THAT OFF!!!

lol don't worry about it. the reason why AIR popped into everyone's mind is because you're talking about EGR so everyone's brain is in emissions mode. it must be the AIR pump! it's funny looking and has hoses...

i knew it was the brake booster because i've seafoamed my car. if you've never seafoamed, you've probably never had a reason to even lay eyes on your brake booster. honest mistake.
