Egr On 2002 Z28 Stripper Model
EVERY ONE SAYS NO EGR , BUT THIS CAR HAS ONE ITS LOCATED IN RIGHT
BACK CORNER OF MOTOR LOOKS LIKE A FLYING SAUCER WITH VACUM
HOSE HOOKED TO TOP OF IT SMALL HOSE. THEN THERES ANOTHER
BIG HOSE HOOKS TO IT AND GOES TO THE EXHAUST. I WANT THIS
**** OFF. WHAT TO DO CAN I JUST SHUT OFF AND CODES TO OR
NOT THAT EASY THANKS , KINDA BORED . TO LIT UP TO MOVE...

2002 Camaros did not have teh EGR setup. I think what you are talking about are the AIR lines that run from the air pump to the exhaust manifold. If this is correct, you can take the AIR pump and all of its accessories out, and put block off plates on the exhaust manifold. This will cause the SES light to come on if you do not have the code deleted.

thanks guys i should of no that that was the air pump. if i shut it off
will that help withperformance or any other advantage to this shut down
of the air pump.. thnaks every one............................................

The pump itself it electric. You'll loose about 5-6lbs of the front of the car and clean out alot of garbage that you don't need. Performance...... Not that I can see. I did it when I got my headers, looks good with it not beeing there. SES light yeah, but you can deleat that. There's No drop in vacuum pressure anywhere after you remove it. I would say do it and don't look back.

lol that's not the AIR or EGR. the image forming in my head tells me that's your brake booster pump. if i'm right, you run seafoam through that hose when you wanna clean your top end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT TAKE THAT OFF!!!
