I run the K&N 2006 which is the truck filter, no problems from it and I noticed a boost in pressure over the crappy Frams I used to run. The oilfilter is the first thing the oil hits after the pump, so a larger one will offer more flow and help boost the pressure for the rest of the stuff on down the line.

If you are hitting the longer oil filter on a speed bump then you will hit the oil pan on it as well. You're screwed if that happens regardless
