Cool Best Throttle body NX, FAST ?

I was going to just get my throttle body ported but i'm thinking i should keep it and just buy a new one now. The quality more expensive products seem to be the way to go to avoid common problems with some makes. What would you recommend. The Fast and NX seem to get the best comments. I still have the stock SS exhaust on also, maybe i should do that first, any comments on that also would be appreciated. Thanks

You wont see SH*T gains With an after Market TB really untill you Step up to an aftermarket exhaust..So yes do that 1st. Then you can Choose to P&P your Stock TB,,which is what I reccomend. you really dont need either of those TB. Unless you are Pushing 400+ HP.. But the NX is SWEET

Thanks for the advice. I think i'm near 400hp now, i'm running 8.0 in the 1/8th now. I'm just wondering to do next for my next couple of tenths. I thought the Tb might make some difference in the hot/humid summer, more air. I will consider an exhaust vs TB.

How are you at 400 with those mods? Do you mean 400 fwhp?

If you are going to spend the money on a 90mm TB, then get the 90mm intake with it. You will see a lot of gains with that, especially if you go H/C.

I wasn't thinking of a 90 i think they make an 78 or 85 that will fit on the stock manifold for now. I will do a manifold in the off season. I was just going by my ET'S to estimate the HP. I know i don't have many Mods but the car is running 8.0's so far in the 1/8th with 1.7 1.8 60 ft times. I just wanted to get into the high 7's this year with a couple of more bolt ons. Thanks

i think he thinks he's pushing a lot as he runs a low 1/8th cuz of his M/T's

anyways... get a new TB unless you upgrade to a FAST intake manifold or LS6... the gains would not be worth it. until now just port your stocker...

if you looking for a few more tenths why dont you do headers and cutout that will give you a couple more tenths and you can keep your stock form while driving, and at the track you can open the cutout and pick up a couple tenths with headers though.

Headers are also an option. I just did not want to do that much work to it until the offseason. Thanks for the advice.

Just port your stock TB it cost little money and you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself. I did my stock maf and TB and yes I did feel a difference. I had stock exhaust (WS6) so I don't know where someone got, you won't feel a differance with stock exhaust. You will get more benifit when you upgrade more things including the exhaust, but certanly it will add by opening up the intake.
