If you go to Installuniversity.com they tell you how to make one for less than $1 with parts from radio shack.
It basically tricks the ecm into thinking it is anywhere from 32-55 degree out which makes the ecm enrichen the fuel.

Have one. Not worth it. Tricks the computer to beleive (I think 56* intake charge). Simply a .50 resistor from Radio Shack. Had it on my car before I learned what I was doing. Not worth it, and don't even think about it if you have a proper tune.

I wouldn't think it would be a good thing if you have your tune spot on. The only advantage I could see with it, is perhaps in bracket racing. It would make the temp a constant, so the engine would be a touch more predicatable/consistent but I'm just guessing here. What do you guys think? I know most bracket racers tune out the IAT tables anyway, this would be a cheap "round about" way of doing that, right?

Yes it would. But for everyday driving and basic track use, you won't see much of a gain. I do remember that before my tune it I would get engine ping with it installed. May be unrelated, but take your $25 and put it towards a proper dyno tune. Gains/$ will be much greater.
