Default tuning question...

i recently tuned my car last january i was wondering if is necessary to retune the car after installing fast90mm intake, 90mm throttle body n slp MAF. the SES light didn't turn on so i wondered i dont have too but when i first start the car when its cold the idle is kind a off the rpm gauge keeps going up and down to (o-4000rpm) like it used to be when my car wasn't tuned after a cam instaled and custume heads but, it idles fine after a good warm up though.

please guys i need your opinion on this thanks in advance.

to really get the benefits of the new intake and throttle body I would think you would need a tune.

Vacum Leak. If you over torq the manifold this will happen.
Also in the rear of the manifold, close to map sensor there is a vacum hose leading to you a/c panel.
If you put your selector **** to defrost leave it for 15 seconds and place it back to just a/c and this causes to still blow in defrost mod then its leaking from tha hose
Also ASR (traction control) is ran by vacum, its on the driver side of the manifold. There are two vacum hoses there. One has constan vacum and the other only when ASR detects a Low Traction event.

Also if you miss with the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC)or(IACV) and now its not seating correctly, it will cause a simlar effect.
This can be corrected by cleaning the valve and cleaning where it sits

Also some times by descreening the MAF Sensor will cause this to happen
You can fix this by buying a new one.

Your car has these things that use vacum

ASR
A/C
Brake Booster
all of the above use vacum

You absolutely need a retune after installing a 90/90 setup.

I know a few guys with 90/90 setups that whistle a little bit. I believe it's from not having the foam insulation between the bottom front of the intake and the valley cover that the factory intakes have. Air moves through that gap and makes a little whistling sound.
