Default tech question?

now, does the corvette zo6 LS2 intake manifold fits a 1999 ls1 engine?

if yes,,is it better to buy a stock zo6 manifold and install it for more power?

That's actually what the AIR (Air Injection Reaction) system does. What EGR does is it takes exhaust from your header/exhaust manifold and sends it back into your intake to be re-burnt.

The Z06 never came with a LS2 intake. The C5 Z06's had the LS6 and the C6 Z06's have the LS7. The regular C6 has the LS2 intake.

Why has nobody else noticed that?

The LS6 and LS2 intakes will fit on a LS1, the LS7 intake won't.

In California you will need EGR to pass visual inspection . Buy a EGR LS6 Intake Manifold. It is good for 20 hp extra over the standard Ls1 in the upper rpm 4000-6500rpm.

yeah the ls6>then the ls1 and ls2 intakes. get one without provisions if you want to run without egr and have no underhood visual, and want to get the ses code tuned out that will show up when you remove the egr. get the one with provisions if you dont mind running erg...

The ls2 dosnt even stack up against the ls6 intake. Before it was released there was a lot of talk about it being the next big intake upgrade, but once the dyno tests were done, people were very dissapointed. Although some claim to have good results with ported ls2 intakes, you better know what youre doing to have any worthwhile gains.
