Default Starter clicking

I just moved my battery to my trunk, and at the same time put a new battery in. The problem is now my starter clicks a few times before the car starts.

What could cause this? Not enough juice in the battery? Bad Ground? Bad Distribution Block? Battery just to far away from the starter? Thanks in advance.

(P.S. Is that clicking bad for my starter?)

My guess would be a bad ground, Id look everything over again, also did you buy a kit to do it or just buy battery cables? b/c you have to make sure the gauge or the cables is big enough too, All the clicking is the silinod (SP) trying to turn the starter over, Not really good for the car but shouldnt hurt anything

Sounds like you have a weak battery. I am willing to bet that it is not an Optima is it?

I'd take that bet and yur money, It is an optima, but it's used so charge is questionable. I didn't buy a kit per say, but I have 2ga wire running from the battery to the distribution block. The block is an audio block that I drilled the holes out a bit to make them larger, so everything is secure. The ground is iffy though on both the battery side and the starter side so I might look at that, also, I drove around for 20 minutes and it clicked less, so maybe that is it?

Just starting it. And only a couple of clicks before it starts up.

These starters are actually not as crappy as others. I rarely see a starter problem. He didnt do anything to the starter and it would just be too convenient for it to start happening the same day he relocates the battery. Don't you think? That is what makes me wonder if it is the battery or maybe the connection causing the problem.
