Default Is it possible to adjust throttle cable?

I purchased an 01 ported tb and have a 99ws6, the sprocket that the throttle cable hooks to is larger on the 01 tb, so my cable is too short, it is holding the throttle open, can I adjust it to get a little more out of it or do i need to get a tb for a 99 specific? I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

It's easy to swap the shaft & cam between your TBs
if you still have the old one. If not then a junkyard
'98-'00 F-body or early truck may be a donor.

There should be one or two snap-adjuster "pods" on
your throttle cable mess, depending on whether you
have the TCS/ASR or not. With ASR the run from the
"gizmo" to TB has an adjuster.

Hpwever there is also that the larger cam, requires
more cable draw length to fully open and you may run
into other binds (lack of pedal travel or excess slack
in the pedal - ASR run).

I'd try swapping shafts, myself.

Tap the end of the TB shaft with a plastic hammer to remove it (The side with TPS removed). There is a little washer that is press fit on the shaft. Make sure you don't lose it and reinstall the other shaft and put back in the washer with a 10mm box. This is what I did when I ported my throttle body.

Hope this help
