Default Corvette Fast 90 owners beware...

You need to keep an eye on your MAP sensor and/or relocate it..
I had a problem last week at the track where i spiked lean in 4th @ 6k... After reviewing the data logs I noticed my map was falling as the motor would torque up and was happening every time I nailed the throttle. Anyways the old one was banging on the firewall hard enough to cut the fiberglass... I ground off the tabs on the new one and cut a small piece off the area it was hitting and cured the problem. I would have just relocated it but had the wrong fittings.... I have since looked at two friends cars that were both doing the same thing. One I data logged and showed the same map drops but not as severe as mine.

FAST recommends you trim the firewall for clearance of the intake. We had a car at the shop that broke the MAP sensor when the engine torqued during a hard shift, needless to say it didn't run right anymore. Clearanced it and the customer is very stoked about it now.

Good to see they caught it before things got ugly.

There is a "firewall kit" available now so you don't have to notch it.
