Default B&B LS1 exhaust

How is the B&B exhaust system for an LS1 camaro? I personally looove the way it sounds on a corvette and camaro. To me it sounds better than true duals, but I never hear it being discussed.

I like the way it sounds. That's why I have it sitting in my office at home ready to go in.
What sold me on it were the tips and the fact that it's fully polished (almost).
It's not cheap and people will talk smack about that all day long but the exhaust is gorgeous.

I would much rather have the B&B catback with an e-cutout than TDs.
However, the general consensus would disagree.

The reason it's not discussed much is because not many people are running this setup.

Thumbs up Love it !!

I've had the B&B Tri-Flo since 1998. Both on my 95 LT1 Z28 and now on my 2000 Camaro SS. I just moved it off the 95 to the 00' when I bought it. I've never heard one sound better IMHO.

My humble opinion is the B&B is the best sounding LS1 exhaust out there....sounds even better on LT1s because of the different firing order. If you still have stock cats and Y, its pretty quiet...until you get on it...then the motor just sings. With ORY, it sounds badass at idle and even better at WOT...very, very little drone when cruising in 5th or 6th gear compared to many others like GMMG or Loundmouth. The dreaded rasp is still there however if you don't put a bullet in the intermediate pipe, but mine only lasts about 200 Rpms then goes away...with a bullet...its perfect.

Yes, it is expensive...thats why many people dont have it...which is one reason why I love having it..no one can figure out which system I have unless I tell them. I can tell you this though, you get what you pay for. The fit and finish is truly quality, even the welds around the muffler case are a work of art. If you got the cash, go for it, you wont be dissapointed. If you dont have the cash...hell, thats what credit cards are for!

This is just the post that I was looking for. I was looking at going for this system. I have the Chokemaster and dont want it anymore. It sounds good....but thats it. I agree about the system being pretty. Thats one of the reasons that I want it. I hope that the B&B sounds good on a cammed car. I have an MS4, LT's and ORY. Im wanting to refine (talk about a contradiction hehe ) the sound a bit with the cutout closed.

FYI, it took me a little over 6 weeks to get after placing the order.
They are made to order, Billy Boats just takes their damn time and they don't really care how many times you call.
I know from experience.

I agree...it sounds pimp. I just thought I remembered reading somewhere about it being a bit restrictive, but then again, this is the internet. If I believed everything on here, I'd probably think I was the only person in this world who didn't have a 10-second car and a supermodel girlfriend that had an orgasm every time I looked at her cross-eyed.

My buddy had B&B on his Camaro. I heard it when it was a bolt-on car, Mac mids/ORY and B&B Triflo, and it was QUIET, but very very smooth and midrangey. I heard it with his T-Rex installed, still relatively quiet and always smooth and refined.
