Quick question before I buy coated Pacesetters.
Started my research with Dynatech Supermaxx, then moved to Kooks, then to QTP, then to Jet Hot and even MACs. After reading all I can, the most favorite header for my 2001 formula seems to be the ceramic coated Pacesetters with TSP y-pipe.
Not just the savings in dollars ($600) but the ease of installation and close to equal power.. Am I missing something?? Thanks

FWIW my pacesetters dropped right in after cutting a small <1/16"> piece off the tab on the block. None of the fittings lined up <air or egr> and I had to bend the hell out of all the tubes to get them to bolt up. The TSP off road y pipe had some serious fitment issues, when installed the driver side pipe was resting against the floor board. A trip to an exhaust shop and $90 later the y pipe is fixed and all the joints welded. I'm quite pleased with the power gain and the end results.

To be honest, I dont know what the deal is. I picked up my Pacesetters and TSP ORY and it was as advertised. Went in without 1 prob. No notching (that was a prob among older pacestter lt's, not the newer made ones), nothing. They really are the best bang for the buck.

i have the same combo that you are planning on getting for my 99 SS, and it fit like a glove, now the ORY TSP pipe bangs on the floor board every once in a while, but that is to be expected.

Love my pacesetters they are comparable power wise to anything out there as are all other LTs few HP difference maybe, they went right in no probs and everything fit nice and tight and I got a nice set of copper reusable header gaskets to boot and no leaks at all. I say go for em unless you want stainless I like the coated
