Magnaflow metallic spun-cat aftermarket catalytic converter
I have done some research and have decided on the magnaflow spun-cat metallic converter. http://www.car-sound.com/02product/d...niversal=59959
My question is this;
Are these the same cats as in the test in this post?
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=magnaflow+cat
I can't find cfm flow numbers on magnaflows site and someone had mentioned there being a different part number that had a lower cell count than the cat I have listed, which I also cannot find.
Just trying to get clarification on flow numbers for the 59959 part number cat.
Thanks, James.

Yep, that's them. The cats do come in different pipe diameters with different part #s, the 59959 is 3". I think they flow in the 560cfm range, 300 cell density substrate. The 59929 are 11" overall length and flow about 20 to 30 cfm more than the 59959 which are 7.75" overall length.

Its cool. I am getting a 2002 Z28 and "CustomTA" just wouldn't have fit
Dr. Jeckel is my username everywhere else so I thought I'd keep it uniform. Have a good one and thanks again for the clarification!!

I'm running these cats on a couple of our vehicles and absolutely love them. I added these cats to an ORY, and switched to a 4" catback over 3", and still picked up HP even though the cats were added. Check the link in the sig for more info.
Bad30th already pointed you in the right direction where to get them
We have plenty of them instock.

Just noticed your cats are the ceramics, not the metallics but the part number on the short 3" ceramic converter is the same as the metallic 3" converter on magnaflows site. Could you please confirm if the cats you have are the ceramics or meatallics, because I am looking for the metallics for the greatly increased flow rate.
I will be ordering as soon as the credit union approves everything on the purchase of my 2002 SOM Z28 on monday.
It has a medium-large cam (not sure the size) LT's, ORY, and SLP loudmouth catback already on the car, neadless to say it is extremely loud and RASPY. I am going to try the 11" cats first, then if its still not quiet enough for me I'll do something like a hooker catback.
