Default Fast 90/90 Setup worth it????

I am sure that everyone on here has heard of the 90mm FAST intake manifold and 90mm Throttle body. Also, almost as well known is the steep price for these two nice little bolt-ons. Who on here thinks it is worth the money for the power gains achieved?

do a vengeance racing ported or ported/painted setups... you can ship them your intake to be painted/ported or just one or the other but the ported one shows GOOD gains there is a dyno chart around here somewhere with it

well put it this way. If you think 1000 dollars for headers are a good deal, then the setup is worth it because it gives similar gains.

I have no idea what you are talking about...

But it depends on if you are willing to pay for the extra power. The Nick Williams 90 unit is a far better piece FTW.

if your running a stock cubed motor just go with an ls6 intake. if you running a big motor it might be worth it if you send it to be ported. but right out of the box I seen one on a 408 get 10rwhp over a ls6 and ported TB. not woth the $1000 if you ask me

bigger gains if you have stuff done to your motor! but mostly stock motors should just stick with ls6. TPIS also ports ls6 intakes

I already have both of them. But I am thinking that I could have possibly better used my money somewhere else. I had an LS6 befoe and it just seems like everyone cant say enough about the 90/90 setup. Now I am hearing stories of how Joe Shmoe bought the setup and only gained 8 or 9 rwhp? Mine is portmatched so I suppose that will help bring the #'s up but still....

I have a Supercharged 408 with a stroker crank. custom ground cam 232/236 LSA 115, TSP CNC ported heads and 55# injectors, I was wondering if the 90/90 would be worth it on my setup. I am only running 91 octane and the super charger I am sure pushes tons of air, would the intake make that much more difference to it?

i would say if your motor is gettin maxed out like your around 450 or higher with heads and cam then yes b/c you dont have very many mroe things you could do besides spending a **** load on f/i but if your keepin stock ported heads and not a "big" street cam then i would say no go with the ls6 intake and call it a day. you might only net about 10-15 more horsepower with the 90/90 set up

Heads and cam....yeah, those heads AND that cam want MORE air!

FWIW ---- I have heard that FI set ups have caused the FAST mannys to leak because of the multi layer set up, air has come out through the seals...you may have to use some extra sealant if you go with the FAST(also depends how much boost you're running)....thats my $0.02
