Default True duals with flowmaster 40 series

hey guys, ive checked ls1sounds but had no luck finding a true dual clip with flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I have decided to go with true duals with an H pipe but cannot decide on flowmaster 40 series or flowmaster single chambers. If anyone could get me a link with a 40 series flow sound clip i'd really appreciate it. Oh by the way its going on an 11.5:1 compression, heads/cam, full bolt ons 1999 ss camaro.

I don't think you'll find many clips of people with dual 40s because it'd be a pain in the *** getting them to fit unless you don't mind bottoming out on road pebbles.

I believe so. But being shorter will better allow you to tuck them up.

You might as well go with the single chambers. With a H/C car, you won't be disappointed.

Putting 40s in a true-dual setup will be nearly impossible with our cars. I have the single chambers before the axle, and they weren't bad to get in there without clearance problems.

A buddy of mine with a 00 GT had 40s with longtubes and prochamber, he switched to singles after I got mine, that should tell you something

a friend of mine has true duals (no x) off the factory manifolds (no cats) with 40 series flows...it sounds amazing. VERY deep and throaty. his car is lowered 1.5" - it drags on everything and we are constantly REhanging the mufflers because of torn hangers from hitting EVERYTHING. it is hands down the best sounding ls1 i've heard...next to the car i owned of course.

Hardly sounds like it's worth it then. I'd be willing to beat the hell out of my rear seat floor pans to tuck them though, no one ever sits back there anyway. Just use that area for storage since my t-top holder is occupied by subs

there is about 6 inches(guesstimate, i haven't seen my car in a month its wrecked) under the mufflers and the only reason why the x drags is because where it is under the car it must be half way (speed bumps)

Damn, do you have a lift on your car? Granted, mine is lowered, but I don't think ANY part of my car has six inches of clearance

Are the 40 series louder than the single chambers? In all the sound clips they sound pretty much the same. the 40 series and single chamber will give off about the same amount of vibration correct?

im definately going with the true duals with an H-pipe and single chamber flows dumped after the holidays. the only thing that worries me is the vibration. is it really that bad? my buddy has a 00 trans am with an X and bullets dumped and when i ride in it i barely feel any vibration. his motor is toast now so i cant even go drive it and really pay attention to the vibration now. i just dont want it to be like my old car which had a cut out where the cat was. that thing rattled and vibrated like you wouldnt believe. would turndowns angled out to the side help with the vibration? thanks
