no. let me stress it 1 more, no.

Your best bet is aget a lid (pick one they all flow the same) and debaffle your hood and seal that **** to the airbox

theres rain baffles in the hood, you cut those out. look inside the ducts and you will see what I mean. then you take some good thick rubber and put it around the gap for the holes and when you shut the hood, the holes from the inlets will be sealed to the airbox. that wont let hot air in from the engine bay, only the cooler outside air.

Lid all the way. I put a Volante on and it looked bad ***. However, it was a pain in the *** to make it fit. It never held together and I couldn't get the air filters to mate up with the MAF. Lot of money for something that's buried in a box in my garage.

Volant looks awesome initially, but fit and finish just aint there. I talked to a guy here in town that had one and he said he's always having to reset the weatherstripping around the edge of the box.

I have been running my volant for over a year now DD with not 1 problem. The initial install was a bit tricky but i love it. Looks great and will be great when i get the WS6 hood and seal it to the box. I think its worth it

My turn to jump on the Volant leg humping train... I've had a Volant on my WS6 for a little over a year.

The installation was easy. Everything fit well and I didn't have to muscle it around to get bolts to thread properly. Getting the tube over the TB lip took a bit of work, but nothing terribly hard. Since I have a WS6, the rubber seal will not seal to the hood (the box and seal was designed for a stock T/A hood). I knew this prior to buying the intake and also purchased a tube of foam copper pipe insulation from Lowe's. The foam slips very easily ove the existing rubber seal and looks like it was provided with the kit. I cut the foam to the proper length and the box now seals very tighly to my hood.

I really like this intake. I works every bit as good as a lid and looks great. BTW, I purchased it off eBay and my total cost was about the same as a new lid.
