This (http://ls1howto.com/index.php?article=26 ) is the electric water pump install guide. You can use the "Part 2: Removing the stock pump" Section as a guide to removal. To install, just reverse..
Note: Torque the waterpump bolts in a 2 pass sequence, first to 11lbft, then do a second pass and tighten them to 22lbft.

I did mine in a couple of hours. I wasn't in a hurry.
The hardest part was getting the old gasket off. Have a good scraper handy. I had to use a fiber sanding wheel, too.
I wound up vacuuming the bits out of the block with my shopvac. I took the opportunity to vacuum out as much of the old coolant as I could and changed over to green coolant.
Keep your fasteners separated and remember which hose goes where and that's 90% of the battle.

I am in the process of installing a new water pump and alternator now. I did the removal today and I am awaiting parts for Friday. I had the o-ring gaskets and they came off with ease. My question is how do you get the waterpump pulley off? The new one will not come with one will it?
Thanks,
Chris
