Default Can stock Y be used with LT's and catback?

i got a magnaflow catback on rate now and waiting to get the LT's on, but im having a tough time deciding on what to do with the Y pipe, Can i just get some header reducers (3" to 2 1/2") and swap the stock cats for some high-flows? will this work or do i need a custom one fabbed? No TSP catted Y either

No stock Y is useless with long tube headers, there are a few good companies that sell catted Y's for long tube headers, or you can get a custom fabbed one.

Thats called crush tubing or ovalized and it flows just as well as round. My new Y pipe will utilize it. Its used to improve clearance underneath.

ive heard that the flat tubing limits the exhaust flow and especially if you were to have the LT's and nice cat back with the stock y i dont see how it could be just as good as a round one.

You heard wrong. Go to DRGAS.com and do some reading.
