Default Mac HTS header coating???

Im looking into a set of Mac headers. I see that they come with an HTS coating, unless you opt for the ceramic coating which is an additional 150 bucks. Does anyone know exactly what materials are used in the HTS coating? Im thinking about looking for a used set and having them ceramic coated. I see Macs selling all the time for really low prices. Anyway, I just wanted to know what the HTS coating is and how durable it is. So all yall that have run the Macs before, chime in and tell me your opinions

If I buy them new, I think maybe I'll just run them with the HTS for a while. Then when they look like theyre gettin a lil rusty, I'll take em off, since they unbolt so easily, and either spray them myself or have them coated. If I find a used set, I should probably go ahead and have them coated.

the coating on the Mac;s is ok. I have had it on my lt1 car for years and it has held up decent. But as far as header qualty goes i am sold on pacesetter. I am installing a set on my 02 right now and i can't beleve the the qualty and how well thoes headers fit for the money.

IMHO, the HTS coating is only high temp aluminum paint. I got mine, put another few coats on and they've held up fine for over 4 years now.
