I just got my slp (blackwing) air filter in the mail with my lid and bellows (both slp). The filter wont fit into my air box without bowing up in the middle. The airbox is stock 02 WS6. **** poor design!
Anybody recommend a certain one based on fitment? Keep in mind it's also gotta work with the slp lid and baffle.
Also, SLP started burning in their logo, so now you can still see it when you put the oem ram air sticker on it. *****!
Not really impressed with the whole SLP lid/bellows combo either. the stock maf will not go up into the throat on the lid on the bottom side like it should. Seems like the bellows is holding it at the wrong angle.

FRAM blows..
I would either get a K&N, Holley Power shot, Green Filter, or if you want to stay stock get another brand new AC Delco Filter.
I dont even think youll get 1 hp with a filter to be honest though, but it doesnt hurt to have one.

Um...ok...that's the first time I have EVER heard anything negative about the FRAM filter. That's what I use and will continue to do so until I hear something awful about it or ridiculously good about something else. I don't think an air filter is going to affect my horsepower, and I hate the thought of oil seeping into my engine from the K&N type filters. I don't know if this is possible, but the thought bothers me. The FRAM fits great and the tests I've seen show no changes from it to a K&N....FWIW

FRAM Airhog is diffrent, i like those. But ever since FRAM has all those lawsuits their oil filters etc detroying motors becuase of filter malfunctioning , i stay far away from that brand.
K&N will not seep oil if you let it dry after you "re charge" it like the directions tell you to do.
A filter= A Filter, just pick one doesnt matter.
