I have had a qtp electric cut out on my daily driver for a year and a half. It is very reliable and I have not had any problems.

I have a DMH on my car and i LOVE it. You can hear the lope with the stock exhaust, but it really goes by un noticed. When the cutout opens, it's like a different car... DMH warranty is nice too...

DMH has the best warantee of any of the companies that you will come across. Slightly more expensive though. My guess as to why many of the cutout motors fail is just due to environmental conditions that they are subjected to and physical damage of course. I'll bet the cutout equipped cars that or only driven on dry days keep their cutouts functional longer.

DMH warranty FTW!! They all perform the same and open/shut in about the same amount of time too. My DMH lasted a couple years before it started to rattle a little while shut. I contacted DMH and they replaced it with a new one no questions asked...can't beat that! Oh and the sound of a cammed car through LT's, ORY, and cutout at idle is wicked

QTP's suck ***. After two weeks the motors were coming loose and they claimed that I had a clearance issue and made me pay to fix their pieces of ****.

Go with McCord or DMH.

Well I vote for none. The one on my car the electric door doesn't close all the way and it rattles like crazy. My car is at the shop now and its gonna get cut off.

Well where are you all mounting them. I mounted mine just after the LTs. I think that I may have just put one in the I pipe as now I have SES light. Not sure what the light is as I have no way to read it now. Still have not put my QTP cut outs on yet. Where are you guys mounting the swithc. My toggle switch seems hard to move. I was thinking of mounting it next to the fog light switch but thought it may be to tough on the plastic part of the dash?? Any input??

I too have the QTEC with no problems *knocking on wood* and like it. The toggle switch is a little chintzy but whatever. It still looks okay and works like it did new. I've had it about two years. I think if you are concious not to hold the switch after the cut-out is completely opened or closed you'll be less likely to burn-out the motor.

JMHO.
