Default True Duals + Single Chambers + Lowered Car?

Is it possible to lower a car with true duals and single chamber flows? I am not sure if anyone has done it. If not, how much clearance do you guys have that are running single chambers at stock ride height?

I'll let you know in about a month haha. Mine are ran under the axle and are tucked up above stock height (3" too) so I shouldn't have a problem I dont think but it would depend on the height of your system.

i believe JMM98LS1 is lowered with single chamber flowmasters, and he doesn't have any ground clearance issues to my knowledge. he's told me his setup never scrapes. i suggest shooting him a PM, or perhaps he will chime in soon.

I had 3" on my stock suspenion '02 Z28. Clearance was good except for speed bumps and junk. Lowered you'll just have to kinda watch where you go.

You pretty much have to watch where you go period with these cars.

So you think lowered about an inch with 2.5" pipes might be alright as long as the work is quality and I am careful? I think I can pretty much avoid speed bumps if necessary.

2.5" is plenty for most cars. Just get whoever does it to tuck them up as high as possible. Are you just going to dump them before the axle? You'll be fine with just an inch drop.

mattraypharbor, are you 3 in. dumped with single chambers? Isn't the eibach pro kit like a 2" drop too? If thats the case, I think I will be fine because I only want to lower about an inch, I'll never have back seats, and I am going w/ 2.5" exhaust.

Exactly.....and by doing this I haven't scraped my system once, but there's roads in town I won't traverse. I'm lowered with a pro-kit which dropped me about 1.75" from stock. My duals are 2.5" (which is plenty big) and I've got 3 inches of clearance under the lowest part of the system (the mufflers). If you spend the time to route/tuck things up, you won't have a problem.

so true. i scraped the very tip of my cutout over a speedbump around a month ago...and i was driving SLOW. when i say slow, i mean i completely stopped at the speedbump, let my foot off the brake and the car couldn't even make it over the speedbump! it was holding me in place, so i was forced to give it just enough gas to get it over, and on the way down, SCRAPE! nicked the very tip even stock manifolds, stock y-pipe and a catback aren't safe
