Check all your vac lines. When I installed my intake I left a line undone and had a slight idle problem.

IDLE. Sorry, had to correct you there. Spray carb cleaner all around your intake where the ports are, by the TB and where any vacuum ports are. When you hear the idle change while you're spraying, you've found your vacuum leak.

Back again, now I noticed the oil pressure is pegged out I did replace the oil pressure sending unit but what would be causing the oil pressure problem

well I thought I fixed the the vaccum line but when I started the car back up the idle is back up to 1500, I am so pissed off. I have tried every thing. and the oil pressure problem I found the wire came off.

Did you use the LS6 coolant lines with your new intake? I'm assuming you swapped from LS1?

If you didn't modify the intake or replace the coolant lines....it's possible that the intake isn't seated the whole way.

No I used the new ls6 coolent lines. It idles at 1100 in park for about 10 sec then is starts going from 1100 to 1400 I dont now if it is the fact that it is a 85 mm manifold and the there is also a new 3500 stall and it needs a tune or if I am still missing somthing what does it sound like to you?

Make sure the IAC motor still has it's O-ring. When you take the IAC motor out, clean it up with some carb cleaner before re-installing it WITH the o-ring.

Idle Air Control motor - of the two electrical plugs attached to the right side of the throttlebody it is the one on top. Should be held in by two bolts. The whole piece slides out.

Sorry, I should have specified!

Post 13 is correct. The plug on the driver side of the throttle body, on the top, is the IAC. IAC is a plunger that opens/closes to maintain the engines needed airflow by bypassing the throttle body blade. It helps control idle.

The plug below the IAC is the TPS (throttle position sensor).

thanks now that you say that I did clean the throttle body while it was off, It was full of black crud and I wonder if some thing got in there and clogged it up. I dont think it is a vaccume line because I checked every thing a 1000 times and some times it will idle fine and then when you start it up again it will start going from 1000 to 1300-1400 and I cant here any vaccume leaks over the straight headers thanks for all the input.

One other thing to check. Get in the car, turn the vent fan on, and see if it will swtich from floor to defrost, to vent, etc. There is a TINY vacuum hose on the back of the manifold that could be the source of your problems.

Also, did you break the knock sensor wire clips off before installing the manifold? The knock sensors are in the valley cover, small wires that run under the manifold. This clip usually clips the wires to the vent tube, which you should have removed with the LS6 coolant lines. It's tall enough to cause an interference with the manifold sealing for some people.
