the car is a 1999 automatic z28....usually what kind of gains can i expect from adding some pacesetter long tubes, and ory? does a different brand really make a differene if they all serve the same purpose? i know the quality on some are better but what kinda numbers can i expect? only mod on the car is slp loudmouth catback, no cats

sure they same purpose, but....
the only effects from exhaust systems are:
1. diameter, for stock LS1 with bolt-ons, i wouldn't go larger than 3 inch system.

2. bends in pipes, smoother the better.

3. cats. having a complete after market exhaust with LTs, hi flow cats give you the proper backpressure needed for a stock bolt-on LS1. if you've upgraded your cam and/or heads and don't have to worry about inspection, then go with an ORY.

for an A4 LS1 tuned, you'll gain about 35 rwhp.

You'll gain about 30 rwhp with headers and ORY. Most all headers will dyno close to each other, the difference in price is mainly the material they are made out of: stainless steel or not stainless steel.

from headers to a GOOD flowing exhaust you might be looking at a 20-30 gain

Well considering he has a 98...and unless he upgraded......he does not have a LS6 intake.

310 may be a little low....but I don't think a ton more. I bet maybe 20-30 hp.
