Default borla + LT= loudness

94 t/a, i have pacesetter LTs ORY and borla exhaust, i love the borla but with the pacesetters they are really raspy and loud, what can i add to maybe take away some of the raspy-ness?

Add cats or change catback.

Is your Borla the one with the adjustable plates? If so adding a smaller plate may help.

Would have thought any aftermarket cat would be ok as long as it fits.

Magnaflow Carsound cats are pretty decent flowing (need to be 3") core. And are quite cheap if you buy from Ebay.

Metal Matrix cats are the best (Magnaflow or Random Technology) but they cost a lot of $$$$

I have always figured borla for being raspy anyway. You could try adding a bullet or a spiral flow to the I-pipe. Any kind of expansion or restriction will tame it down. Cats are also a decent choice as well.

I'd try putting a Dynomax bullet or something similar in the I pipe. Cheap, you won't lose much ground clearance, and should be pretty effective. Is the catback the adjustable one?

I'm running Kooks 1 3/4s W/ stock cats and a Borla XR-1. I can hear the music fine at 75mph with the windows rolled down. Oh yeh I added 2, 500 watt amps to my system for that reason. But when you down shift and hit it. It sounds like music to me anyway.
