Default Plug Reading Gurus

Tell me what you think. They look alright to me. The car does run a little better now with fresh plugs. The plugs that came out were about a year old, with 10,000 miles.

They look ok, maybe a bit on the richer side, but still fine.

you cant just read them buy looking at them that way you must cut the threads off to see all the way inside. there is a article in Car Craft that explains in detail. I will try to find a link to something that will explain how to do it

You don't need to cut the spark plug in half to accurately read it. Seriously. That is only if you are hardcore and can do something about the air fuel ratio in the first place. I imagine that since he is asking how to read a spark plug that he doesn't have tuning software ready to use, no offense meant.

Those plugs are a tad rich, run some top end cleaner through the engine and see if that helps any. Are those plugs wet at all?

I don't have any tuning software.

They weren't wet. What you see is just the anti-seize that was on the threads when I pulled them out.

I think that the car had been running rich lately, because of a nagging O2 problem that I just recently fixed.
