A4 guys with a Crank pulley
The crank pulley is about the only bolt on I dont have so Im thinking about adding it b4 my tune. Do you guys need the altenator pulley too or is that just if u have a bigger sound system.Anybody have any charging problems when running the a/c?Leaning towards the Powerb/SLP pulley.

I just have the crank pulley I was told by speed inc I did not need the alt pulley. I cant say whether or not my lights are dimmer since i never drive the car at night I also have a sub in the back and ive never experienced any probs with it. I did notice though it did idle just a little tiny bit rougher however but its very hard to notice so i personaly dont think u need one

It's late and I been working all night, but I dont seem to understand how that would be.... You put on a smaller crank pulley in order to gain power. So theoretically if you put on a smaller alternator pulley, should that not gain you power aswell?

Oh I totally agree that it wont make a difference, but I would think that if it did make a difference, it wouldnt be a power loss .
I have an A4 and I went with the smaller under drive alt pulley. Havent had any problems here.

Well If the alt pulley doesnt rob power it would probably be worth adding but I know Iv heard on here b4 some1 say it does rob some horses, mayb they just really didnt know eithe like me.

So getting the alt. pulley replaced too WONT rob horsepower from you? Thinking about it, it shouldn't but I'm no genius so I have to ask. I understand that the crank will be spinning less because of its new pulley, slowing down the alternator, so making the alternator smaller once again will make it spin faster after you replace it???
Or am I wrong?
