These cars have 4 O2 sensors. The rear O2's could be on Mt. Vesuvius and it wouldn't make a difference, you'd just have an SES light in your face (unless the rears were tuned out).

These cars can run without O2 sensors. My '01 SS is setup to do this. If your car isn't set up for it, I wouldn't recommend it. But, it's not going to be fatal. Without feedback from the O2's, the PCM is running in an open-loop state. It commands an AFR based on a few tables and there's no telling how far off it really is. With only 1 or 2 bolt-ons (lid/catback), you'll most likely be ok. Much more than that and it'll start to get too lean. I'd make sure the front O2's are hooked up or get hooked back up. It'll save you some money at the pump and you won't run the risk of going too lean...until you start throwing more mods at it that is.

Yea, they have probably been turned off in the pcm. You'd have a SES light showing that they weren't working if they had just been unplugged without o2 sims.

The rear O2's can be turned off, and if running on OL all the time, you could run without front O2's too if you really wanted.

I run OL-MAF tune. So no readings from the O2's are used in the PCM, also have no cats.

Yea the fronts will still read right. The headers should come with extensions for the o2 sensors.

Yep your front sensors wont effected in respect to removing cats, as the front sensors are before cats anyway. But you may get erorr codes coming up, sometihng along the line 'Heated O2's failed'
With LT's your O2's will be further downstream, and wont get as hot, they will still work fine, (well mine did) but you will see that error code eventually.
