Default Exhaust

Thinking about dropping the money on some GMMG exhaust for my 02 WS6. Just looking for feedback on how everybody thinks about the amount of money for the sound, performance, etc....Thanks

i think even though its a great sounding exhaust...its just not worth that much money.

true duals, 2.5" with 2 chambered mufflers, dumped at the axle...probalby about $300

and it will sound better than the GMMG any day of the week

i agree with Z2K_MrJ. i bought my GMMG a year ago and it still makes me smile everyday when i drive the car. And it still gives me goose bumps when i floor it. I love it and i dont mind the price i payed.

I wanted GMMG for a long time. Just the time has come and gone for me on wanting a y-pipe setup.

I haven't decided yet but I'm leaning heavily on the GMMG exhaust. Are any of you running the GMMG still have cats and manifolds?

Mine is going on stock manifolds to start. Headers/y comes later. Unfortunately, I just got an e-mail saying shipping would be another week. Once installed I'll post my results for those like me who spent so much on the GMMG itself that they can't afford the headers/y.

Talking

HEADERS+ 3 1/4" Y Into a QTEC + 5 year old flowmaster into dual-dual 3 1/2" S/S outlets sounds good......[I need a cam though].. any louder and cops would be all over me. [with c/o open]

GMMG was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Great sound on stock manifolds/cats and even better with Longtubes. Vid clip in sig for Kooks + GMMG.

I used your clips as an example to the wife to justify the $850. The startup with headers where you move the camera into the car for interior sound almost made me cream my jeans. The wife too for that matter That's exactly the sound I'm looking for. On the downside I don't think I've heard clips on stock manifolds that I like

GMMG with stock manifolds and cats it actually pretty tame. Nothing compared to his video with the headers. But then my 96 SS with the stock manifolds and cats and 2OTL was pretty tame. Add the headers and 3" y-pipe and it makes a huge difference.

With an ORY, it's kinda raspy. I've never heard one in person with an ORY setup, just seen a couple of clips. But going by the consensus here on the board, I bought cats right off the get go. It's loud either way with longtubes, just minus the rasp if you have cats.
