+ is supposed to be a switched power source, but guess it'll work both ways. I'd disconnect it at the connector under the car and try it. Should tell you if it's the switch/wiring or the motor...then contact them if it's still not working.

Not saying it can't be done, but alot of e-cutouts suck. My McCord is hit or miss. If it
's raining or the car has sat for a couple of days, it takes about 20min to start working. Why, I'm not exactly sure. The whole thing should be in a casing and not exposed to the elements as much. Probably will not solve all of its problems, but it could help.

My QTP lasted about three months and it was on a weekend pleasure/show car that was rarely driven. One day I noticed it was open or so I thought and it wouldnt close. When I got home I looked under the car to see the motor had completely came lose and fell off the car some where and the wire was dragging the ground. I gained 1 Rwhp and lost four Rwtq with the cut out over the closed Hooker cat back on my 570 Rwhp Procharged SS so it was a complete waist.

Wow, that sucks.
I am just about to replace my stock exhaust and I wanted a QTP cutout. Seriously, are there any other good electric cutouts? If not, does anyone have any ideas on how to modify the QTP to be more reliable?

Check to see if one of the wires was pinched from install. We check every unit before it goes out. Could be a simple wire pinched. But give us a call and we can hel ypu out.
For all those people that think that our units are bad, it is so far from the truth. We have close to 20,000 units out on cars right now, so you will hear alot more our products than the others because we have like 90% of the market. We build a very strong unit and take care of our customers. We can not protect the unit from speed bumps. But if anyone has a problem just pick up the phone and call us.

i found it. its where the wire plugs into the switch..that lil rubber boot must of spun and caused the + and - to twist together.. i took it apart and put some shring tubing on it to stop this from happening in the future..thanx for the help..just didnt think a new unit would have this sort of problem..

well after reinstalling it i guess it wasnt the problem, this now makes the count to 3 times ive pull the pass. seat out ran the wire and it ******* up on me, dont get me wrong i checked everything 5times and i wroked perfect...then the last straw was when i thought i had it perfect and got some friends to come check it out and it to do nothing but blow another 4 fueses..and in the process melted the wire coming from the switch to the cutout wire...im not very happy and i dont even want this thing anymore..im not happy with the product and im trying to get a refund..
