QTP headers/Kooks y-pipe/Spohn solid motor mounts
Well I finished this up a few hours ago. Lets start with the basics.
QTP 1 3/4' primaries with HVMC collectors
Kooks y-pipe
Spohn solid motor mounts
I didn't take pics of the engine bay with the exhaust manifolds and stock y-pipe off the car. When I replaced the motor mounts, I didn't remove anything besides the stock mounts.

passenger side
The only thing I took off to install the headers was the oil filter. I also had to jack up the engine a bit to slide the drivers side header in. Passenger side header went in easy.

I used Bosch 13111 for the front 02 sensors. The wires are plenty long enough.

Now for the good stufff. The modified kooks y-pipe.
When I first got the y-pipe, I had the ends expanded so they could slip over the header collectors. The exhaust shop that did this for me was 25 minutes away. This came into consideration when it came to modifying the y-pipe. This is what I had to do. On the drivers side I first cut off the part was expanded then I cut off roughly 4 inches. On the drivers side the y-pipe had to move over to the passenger side roughly 2 inches and 2 inches to the front to meet up with the hanger. So once again, I cut off the piece that was expanded and then I cut the rest of the pipe off roughly 1 1/2 in front of the 02 bung. To compensate for having to moving it over 2 inches, the piece I just cut off got lined up, marked off, and cut at an angle at both ends. I brought the y-pipe to a race car chassis chop to weld the pieces up and picked it up today.
Finished product
I also had to do a little trimming to the I pipe that came with the Magnaflow catback.
I don't have any banging issues. Engine doesn't rock at all. Also, I don't have any vibrations inside the car. It feels a lot more solid now.

Looks like this Kooks Pipe is a good option for those with QTP headers looking for high clearance. Is your car lowered, I think I may have missed if you said that or not..

I'm looking to replace my QTP dual cut out Y pipe. It is not clearing worth a ****. Due to a chassis mnt TQ arm thats on there. Between that and the drive shaft, the 4" collector is hitting the ds.
My car is lowered also. It keeps breaking the motors for the cut out. So I want to go back to a single one in the I pipe.
I was wondering how the kooks Y pipe fit.
Is it crushed down on the drivers side?

The driver side of the y-pipe looks like it could stand to be another 3/4" or so closer to the floor. With even poly mounts, much less solids, you can run the exhaust really close to the floor without it banging.
