What is the easiest way to add HP to my '99 Z28?
I have pretty much a stock Automatic 1999 Z28. I am looking for any easy upgrades for some extra horsepower. I have already added an MTI ClearAirBox and K&N filter as well. Is there any (preferably)cheap add-ons that I could buy or add? Also, are "Power Programmers" a smart way to go?

SOme people like that HPP3... I've never used it personally (nor can I with a '02). Underdrive pulleys seem popular, but if you want to jump in HP/TQ, then look into nitrous.
Of course, there is always the cam/headers too...

A torque converter will really wake up your car if your looking to make the car quicker. Otherwise, headers on my 1999 SS added 23 RWHP. That was the single best power adder without doing major engine work like heads and cam.

How about a cat-back exhaust system? If you are on a budget, I say get the SLP Loudmouth. I got it for $345 including shipping. If money is no object, spend like $700 on the GMMG system.

Yea, nice website. I was thinking about exhaust systems, but since they all vary in price, is there a best? I know Borla and Corsa are on the pricey side, but can i get similar power from a cheaper system while still sounding nice? (SLP Loudmouth)? any better ones?

Exhaust cut-out is cheap.
Mac headers with off road y pipe is less expensive than long tubes, and give similiar peak HP gains.
Ported TB.

Hooker Cat-back is CHEAP!!!! like $299 from Thunder Racing and you can ubolt and take it off and lose some weight and gain some horses!!
It just depends on what you feel like doing... Cutting off your cats would be a great/cheap way to make horses after the cat-back(if you dont mind the irritating SES light)
Try some free mods.... ls1.com has some and installuniversity.com has some too
