Default Changing knock sensors without completely remomving intake?

Wonder if I could just take the bolts out and tilt the intake up to fit a ratchet/torque wrench under there? Really don't wanna finagle with the oil pressure sending unit.

Thoughts?

just get somone to help route the brake booster line around the sending unit...i personaly dont think you will get the manifold up high enough to get the ratchet in there

Took a shot at it tonite. The front one is the one that needs replacing but there was no way that clip was coming off without getting at it from the top.

Where the hell is this little vacuum hose on the back? Also I can't get the injector clip off the injector for the life of me on the drivers side rear one

feel around, i dont think you can actually see where anything is even with a cr@ppy mirror ona stick.. and its easy to find stuff feeling around cuts your hand of course but its only lil ones. its easy to get the intake off , take the hoses off the brake booster, take the map sensor out or disconect then the vacume line. lift up on brake hose as your taking out intake. have the back bolts held up with rubber bands pull it all the way up then forward..

your not soposed to take the clips off your soposed to squeaze them to clear the notches on the injector(push the front of the metal twards the injector and lightly twist back and fourth as you pull up)..

IMO, You will stand more of a chance breaking the sending unit with the intake in the way.

Just take you time and be careful.

You can buy a special socket from Autozone to take the OP sending unit off. Cost me like 7 bucks.
