Best place to have the stock TB ported? I thought there was someone who would send you a ported/powder coated stocker then when you get it installed you send yours back?

Yeh I might just polish it myself while I have it off but ide really like to have some minimal down time so a core charge would be nice.

Do it in your garage, for pity's sake! It's so easy, even a caveman could do it!

I had mine ported by Mark Shaner (google "Shaner Performance"). It did cost quite a bit ($135 I believe), but the quality is second to none and it has been proven on the dyno. Check out their site.

Also New Era Performance does them for $75. They are a sponsor -->

We port TB's for $75
http://www.neweraperformanceparts.com/default.asp?S=503&A=E&PKV=tbportcf|0
We do a winter time sale for $65

There are alot of good places that do good TB porting. It's not rocket science, but having hand skills is a must. We get alot of TB that were started, and got the... F-this, sucks. Im gona mail it out and drink a beer. Also when you add up the materials for a DIY it's almost not worth it.
