Default borla exaust question

i recently bought a used borla cat back off a 98 trans am after looking in my rk sport catalog i have realised they are not the same. the big difference i seem to notice is mine has only 1 3 inch pipe comming out the left side that has a split tips. while the pix in the catalog shows a muffler with the same tips but two what appears to be 2 2-inch pipes comming out the left. On the right its the same desgin the only other differences i can see between the two is the rk one has a borla sticker on it while mine has the borla name staped into the mufflers casing and my tips are labled borla while the pix in the catlog soes not seem to have labled tips is mine a older version or some upgrade HELP IS THIS A GOOD THING??????????

the borla on my 98 t/a is just as you describe. the borla muffler is straight through with one hole on each side. one pipe going in and one pipe coming out. borla is also stamped into the muffler on what would be the bottom when its installed on the car.

You got the real deal, I don't know what they have pictured but it's what they're using for f-bodies. I bought mine in October and got exactly what you did. Bolt that sucker on and go!

the 2 pipes on the left muffler is the 1st generation one used on the 1st LT1's... later models used 1 3" pipe...
